Clinique is truly an OG of makeup and skincare, but I actually don’t have a ton of Clinique in my collection. This foundation came to my attention when I saw someone with just beautiful skin and asked what they were wearing. Their response? Clinique Even Better Foundation, so of course I had to try it. Let me tell you, this stuff is just fantastic. That being said, if you’re a full coverage, matte finish foundation kind of person, I would just move right along from this review because this foundation is neither. To me, mud masks can be really hit or miss. More often than not, they do nothing but dry my skin out. I’m always intrigued by Pixi’s products though, so I decided to give their Glow Mud Mask a try and also because I’m a marketing sponge for the word “glow”. Anyway, the verdict: this is good, really good. Continue reading “Reviewed: Pixi Glow Mud Mask”
Today’s subject: toners. I’ll be honest, I’ve always been a little “meh” about toners. I know they serve a purpose, but they don’t tend to excite me because I find that they rarely make a wow-worthy difference in the skin.
With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised by this Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel toner. Continue reading “Reviewed: Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner”
It has been a minute since I posted a skincare review but not to worry, Rosie Jo is kicking off 2018 in full swing with many reviews to come! Before getting into today’s review, Rosie Jo is now on Instagram – @rosiejobeauty! As an extension of the blog, I’ll be on Rosie Jo’s Instagram posting daily regimes, photos and mini reviews of my favourite products to be fully reviewed in depth here on the blog.
Shameless self promotion aside, today’s review focuses on the insanely hyped brand that is The Ordinary. Continue reading “Reviewed: The Ordinary – HA 2% + B5 and Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA”
If you’re a beauty obsessive like me, you likely spend quite a bit of your time and money indulging yourself on all things beauty. For me, this includes books. I love hearing different opinions and advice on all things beauty and I’m that much more likely to settle down with a good book when that book is telling me how to get glowing skin. These books also make a great gift or stocking stuffer as well with the holidays quickly approaching!
After careful consideration, I give you the three beauty-related books you need to cozy up with this winter:
If you keep up with the latest and greatest in beauty technology, you’ve probably heard of the new-ish Neutrogena Light Therapy line. Neutrogena first came out with their Light Therapy Acne Mask which, to my surprise, received mostly positive reviews. Then, Neutrogena scaled it down by coming out with a targeted Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment for individual pimples and for the purposes of this blog, I decided to try it out.
My breakouts are mostly hormonal in and around my chin area, so I felt the light mask would be a bit of a waste and possibly too harsh for the rest of my face. The pen however, seemed like it would better suit my needs. I’ve been using this spot treatment for almost two months at this point, so I think I am officially qualified to give it a review.
Let’s talk about breakfast. I love breakfast food. I also love desserts (my sweet tooth does not quit). When I found a recipe that was breakfast and dessert combined AND it had healthy ingredients? SOLD!
